The Cthulhu Mythos Convention

Celebrating H.P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos in all its forms.

NecronomiCon is held every odd-numbered year on the weekend closest to the August 20th birthday of American horror author H.P. Lovecraft, creator of what has come to be called the “Cthulhu Mythos”. Regular programming includes panels on the literary, artistic, media-related, scholarly, and gaming aspects of the Mythos, as well as on Lovecraft and other individuals who have influenced or been influenced by him. Other attractions include the dealers’ and artists’ rooms, the audio-video room, gaming, author readings and signings, walking tours, and the infamous Cthulhu Prayer Breakfast. Although the original convention organizers have disbanded, another group is planning to re-organize the convention and may hold NecronomiCon 2005.

Daniel Harms’ NecronomiCon Survival Guide is worth a read for those planning to attend.
